Security at special events has been strengthened due to the amount of stabbing that used to take place in busy public areas, music gigs and celebrations, today, stabbing only seem to take place in secluded empty streets. The only type of violence that has increased is drink related violence, something which the government has been trying to reduce for the last few years, but if you know which areas are dangerous to walk through, avoid them or dont go drinking. The media causes these huge panics when nothing is going on, its just something to write about so the newspaper companies can make a bit of money while the celebrities aren't doing anything interesting, if you want to know the truth you need to byp the media and look at some real statistics, or even better, physcial get out of the house and whitness much crime is actually going on. I see fights every weekend and have always seen drunk fights since I was able to go out drinking 8 years ago.

Switching from Yasmin to a low?

I have been on yasmine for the last 8 months and my new doctor wants me to switch to a lower dose pill (.02 mg ethinyl estradiol) but not Yaz. I'm overseas so its the same dosage just 21 pills like Yasmin. Does it matter that theyre from 3 different companies if theyre all the same dosage? And what have been peoples experiences switching from Yasmin to a low dose pill? I'm a little worried. I have used the glyde, and i can say that it is too small to be a touchscreen phone. yet the keyboard is good. they both are extremely well for texting. and the picture quality is better than the Blitz, also the glyde can video record. the blitz cannot. i am gona go against my blitz and tell u to go with the glyde. the features are better, and the keyboard is a bit more spread out than the blitz.

Without sounding like I'm making a sweeping generalization of course. My mother was a democrat and my dad a republican so I grew up hearing both arguments. When Bush went into Iraq and Aphganistan it was under the pretense that we were liberating a country under an evil regime. Obviously there was a lot of back and forth about it being for oil, selfish reasons etc etc.. Many republicans being pro-war many democrats being anti-war. When Obama went into Libya for supposedly those same reasons (liberating a country from tyranny) it seems like the roles were reversed with democrats being pro-war and republicans being anti-war. Isn't this rather hypocritical for both sides? Why are some republicans, who supported the "liberation" of Iraq and Aphganistan suddenly so against the "liberation" of Libya? Both Osama and Sadam were allies of America just as Ghadafi was. Each country has been harsh quelling any type of uprising to the point of cruelty, yet to me it seems the only difference is the president. Maybe I'm used to ping judgement because of political policy rather then political affiliation. Obviously it would make sense if we either liberated all suppressed countries or none, picking and choosing who just doesnt make sense. I guess what I'm wondering is this. Is a presidents political affiliation matter so much to people that they can go from supporting a war in Iraq to condemning a war in Libya? Even if said reasons are supposedly the same? Opinions?

If it is lubricant you should use a degreaser. I used to clean carpets for a living and most of the stuff you get retail is junk for stains. Try and find a janitorial supply in your area. If you don't want to go to that length, try Dawn dish detergent first. Put it on straight and work it with a good stiff brush over an area about two to three times the size of the stain. This should prevent a "clean" spot appearing after you are done. You will have to rinse and dry it well afterward. The best thing to do is get a "Rug Doctor". You can rent them at a lot of grocery stores for around $30.00(? It's been a while since I've done it) and they do work pretty well. Treat the stain as I described then shampoo the entire rug. Ive used this method many times and most stains will come out unless they have been there too long.

Well, I have pretty bad vision, I also suffer from something called VS (visual snow) GAD, and Severe depression. When I lay down to sleep, I see these little white/black pinpoints of light that appear for 1-3 seconds, its similar to what you see when doing the peripheral vision test at the eye doctor when you have to click the on every time you see a flash of light. it only lasts a few minutes then it goes away. just curious if this is part of my visual snow, or something else. You get it if you're exposed to loud noises all day ( if you work in a factory without ear protection or listen to music way too loud) If you're doctor can't figure out what's wrong (and obviously something IS wrong), go to an Audiologist (they specialise in this sort of stuff.) Unfortunatley it's incurable, but many have claimed hearing aids mute out the sound for them... I truly feel for you if you have this. xxx

Water weight or getting fat? please answer!?

k so i lost about 6 lbs because my stomach was all messed up for a few days. it stabilized and i stayed the same for a few days eating only small meals... then a couple days ago i pigged out for the first time which wasn't actually much but felt like a lot: a couple eggs, a bunch of strawberries, some rice and indian food. then the next day i weighed 3 lbs more. i figured it had to be water weight, right? then yesterday the same thing happened; i had toast for breakfast, along with an apple, some cottage cheese with fruit for lunch, and an enormous bowl of salad (no dressing) with a couple turkey slices) and now it says i'm another lb. so 4 lbs more than i was before...:( but i checked my measurements (with a tape measure) and it says i'm the same everywhere except my waist which has bloated up. so this is just water weight right? or is it stuff about to be stored into fat?

Need some help am i in slow labor?

for the past week or so ive noticed that ive been losing my mucus plug.ive also been in and out of hospital quite alot with false labor.im in checked im always told that im about 1 cm,but that could be because i have had a child before and it can never fully close back.but last night around 9 o'clock i was dying really in a bad way,my back was killing me and i was getting little twinges in my right side for hours,along with period ramps,it stopped in the middle of the night,the leg cramps were also un real.when i woke up this morning,the pains were there again,really really bad period cramps and when i went to the toilet there was my mucus plug again,clear in colour no spotting.this happens alot nearly every morning with the cramps and plug.im 39 weeks today do you think i ll go maybe to night or tomorrow.

I agree with you totally, and I am a smoker. California has far more strict rules about smoking than where I used to live. I'm a guy so I can't tell you first hand the effects of any pill, but I can tell you that every different brand pretty much has a different level of hormones in them. Usually a female would bounce around, changing pill's until they find one with the right hormone level. Weight gain, increase in cup size, decrease/increase in flow during "that time of month", headaches, dizziness, cramps, early/late/shorter/longer period, amongst other side effects may occur.

The neighbors dog is a german shepard mix. It is not very well taken care of it does not get fed on a regular basis. I have a neo mastiff very laid back dog. Please help I am a nervous wreck when it comes to my newborn!?

My son will be a month old this Friday, & I am a nervous wreck. I am always afraid that he is hurt. He likes to sleep in his swing but I am afraid it will hurt his neck, I let him last night but I stayed up all night watching him. If I put him in his binet I get up 50 times a night to make sure he is breathing. He makes these terrifying sounds when he sleeps. I was told bc I had a c-section he would sound congested for a while. But I am petrified he is breathing weird. I am loosing my mind. How can I stop being such a basket case? And is it okay for him to sleep in his swing? And does anyone else have a c-section baby that breathes funny? He is my 1st child and I am driving my husband crazy because all i do is worry that he is gonna get hurt or sucb to SIDS. Please help me I am loosing it.

How do I get my dog and cat to stop fighting?

Thanks to all who took some time to answer my call for help. I was at the end of my rope with this and I am actually trying something that no on suggested through the forum.. One of my coworkers suggested a muzzle for the dog when she retaliates on the cat. The cat cant hurt the dog as he has no claws and doesnt get close enough to bite. So far it has been a couple of hours the dog has worn the muzzle 3 times for about 10 minutes each time and I tell you it is working to get my cat relaxed in the same room and the dog deterred from chasing the cat. Thought someone who may be going through this could use the info. The muzzle was only 10 bucks from Petco and so far a good investment. The dog only has to wear it when she goes after the cat. She will soon ociate this behavior with getting a "not fun" thing wrapped around her nose. Yay!

2004 Chrysler Town & Country 3.8L - squeaking, squealing belt noise - Alternator?

Mostly during COLD startups at idle. The belt is making a squeaking noise. Already replaced the Belt, and the belt tensionor. Noise still there. Usually after a long drive the noise dissappears but will come back. I noticed a ever so slight wobble in the water pump and changed it. Noise still there. Could it be the alternator? Sometimes, when the heated seats are on and the lights are running, I noticed a slight dimming in the dashboard lights? Never had any problems starting, just this termpermental squeaking noise.

I was in the third year of a degree at university and doing ok on the course. About half way through the year I started suffering from mental health problems and panic attacks I did not know what was wrong but after a while things came to a head and I was sectioned under the mental health act with phychosis I was in there for about a month. I read a book a bit back and all I remember about it is the main character was a girl who was discovered to have the ability to talk to dragons so the king sent her and a small army of men into a nearby valley where dragons were known to reside. I remember it was described as snowy and she'd spend the day standing in the snow waiting for a dragon to come close enough she could hear it's thought. My sons bus driver is rude and inconsiderate. She leaves without her children being seated and belted in. She has spoken on her cellular telephone while driving the bus. She speeds and constantly is on the brink of getting into an accident according to my son. As he was getting dropped off today she sped and came to an abrupt stop across the street from my house. There is a matron on the bus who should be walking him across the street, which does not happen. As many people do not heed stop signs on the bus they drive past and he could get hit. We live on a very busy road and I am concerned for his safety. She also takes a very strange route so that she winds up on the opposite side of the street when she could be dropping him off on the same side as my house if she went a more convenient way. My son rides on a mini bus therefore the rules and regulations are different than that of a regular bus. If someone could please tell me a) how to deal with her and b) some regulations for busses.

What is this, folliculitis?

For the past year ive had these blocked up follicles all over my legs and my waist...
