SEO: How to stay there once you get there?

It is definitely not a one-time shot! There are two things that I like to do when I think that I have gotten to the point that I want to be - build more good links to me site and always, always look at the good things that my competitors are going. I have gotten some of my best ideas by looking at what other folks are doing to rank well on terms I am interested in. Once I see I good idea it is time to copy and try to do it a bit better.
