What does the good samaritan law applied for?

If someone undergoes cardiac arrest I know CPR must be done. But let's say someone's airway gets closed and the only way to save the person is by performing a tracheostomy. Pretend i do this and i save the patients life would i still get sued? By the way i'm a 16 year old.
