What are Some Plot Ideas?

The story is about a teenage boy who has a pair of old, beat up shoes that have been well his favorite pair for so long. Eventually, his mother pesters him so much he finally goes shoe shopping and finds another pair he actually genuinely likes. So he buys them, and takes them home. Unknown to him, and any other human, shoes are actually alive. What would be some good plot ideas to use?
